Traffic Violations

Traffic Court is held at the Woodford County Courthouse Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on the 3rd floor Courtroom Please call to verify that court is in session on that day.

Ticket NOT marked “YOU MUST APPEAR IN COURT” you have the following options

  • Plead guilty and pay your traffic ticket online with a credit card.  
    • Search for a case by entering your name (last name, first name: i.e. Doe, John) or case number.  Click on the button below to plead guilty and pay your traffic ticket.
    • Mail your payment via Cashier’s check or money order to:

By Pleading guilty the conviction is reported to the Secretary of State.

Court Supervision

You may plead guilty and ask the Court for Supervision but, you MUST APPEAR in Court on the Court date stated on your ticket. 

If granted the offense will be reported to the Secretary of State and will not be reflected as a conviction for the traffic offense with which you are charged.

The Judge will impose the amount you will be required to pay for your traffic citation plus court costs.

Ticket is marked “YOU MUST APPEAR IN COURT,” then your appearance is required.  Go to court on the date given on your ticket.

  • If you receive more than 1 citation, that is an automatic court appearance

IMPORTANT CHANGES
Effective July 1, 2019, all criminal and traffic assessments as well as civil filing fees will be changing throughout the State in accordance with Public Act 100-987, the Criminal and Traffic Assessment Act.  This act modifies the Clerks of the Circuit Court Act, specifically section 705 ILCS 105/27.1b.
